How much were you charged for getting the bumper painted? How hard was it for you to remove the old bumper, then line up the new one? I have a 99 Jspec bumper, but local shops are wanting close to $1k to install and paint it! :As a some of you may have read earlier this year my 90TT was backed into buy some retard in a parking garage. Well ladies and gentleman, that issue has been taken care of along with a few others. Here is what it looked like this past fall, prior to mentioned retard. : : : :Then after mentioned retard: : :I know it's not that bad but dang look how good it looked before!!!! :So I order one of these : :And get it back from painters lane (a local DIY shop) looking like this : : :then got the wheels in the mail today!! Thanks FairladyBlueZ! : : : :All this time that I have been waiting for things to be delivered/ painted / worked on etc. I had plenty of time to take on other things I have been meaning to do for quite some time. :Other things I accomplished while waiting: :Carbon Canister Delete. :Brake Maintenance, new front pads :Installed Goose Honk Killer :Patched Rip in drivers side bolster :Removed grey pinstripe around entire car to match new bumper :Changed oil :Remounted Amp behind driver side seat :Removed and cleaned intercoolers :Then of course the obvious. Installed new j-spec bumper and wheels! :The wheels and tires came off of TT.NET members car FairladyBlueZ. I Needed new tires and he was selling his whole set for about a hundred bucks more than what I was going to pay for just tires so I jumped on it. They are stern st-1 beasts 18x8.5 all around, They are fairly heavy, but I don't care. :All in all I am absolutely LOVING the way my car looks now. It looks ten years newer, and I couldn't be happier! Yes there are things it needs like, bigger brakes, lowering springs yadda yadda. But my quota for working on and buying stuff for the Z has been exceeded and if I don't stop now I think my girlfriend may leave me :D :Hope you enjoyed!
